DOWNTOWN DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The primary goal of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is “to promote business and employment opportunities in the City of Roswell’s central business district. These goals are facilitated by the pursuit and creation of various programs, both public and private, that encourage redevelopment and growth within the district.” Essentially, the DDA is capitalizing on Roswell’s current economic success by recreating and redeveloping many of Roswell’s dilapidated and unproductive areas. This will ensure that Roswell continues to thrive for generations, despite the economic ups and downs.
The mission of Roswell Next is to “To encourage local participation and open dialogue among young professionals, entrepreneurs and visionaries to influence the Social, Civic and Economic growth of Roswell by delivering fresh ideas and initiatives that enhance the value of our city.” This non-profit organization has a vision far beyond networking. The goal is to engage young professionals in the community on every level and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. Not limited to young professionals exclusively, Roswell Next includes well established professionals and community activists to mentor and support their younger counterparts.
