Economic figures unveiled by Roswell Inc
highlight city’s business friendliness and momentum
ROSWELL, Ga. (April 25, 2016) – Roswell Inc today released its 2015 business report card before City of Roswell Mayor Jere Wood and council. The report shines a spotlight on the city’s key economic indicators, including jobs numbers, office vacancy rates, and employment rate, among other data.
The 2015 Roswell business report card data indicate high marks for the city in the areas of office vacancy – coming in at 9.2 percent – down from 14.9 percent two years earlier.
Additional report card highlights include:
- 649 new business licenses issued last year, generating 2,049 new jobs,
- Construction permits up with 996 issued at a value of $149.3 million,
- Overall unemployment rate of 3.7 percent in 2015, well below the state’s rate of 5.5 percent.
