Local governing bodies are well aware of the need for transportation updates around the Atlanta area and their dockets are full of exciting new projects. As the population continues to grow and traffic grows ever thicker, innovations have to be implemented to help restructure the current flow of traffic between cities, as well as within the cities themselves. While many of these projects have already been set in motion, one of the largest undertakings will be the interchange of I285 and GA400. This $1.1 billion project is expected to ease the commute for more than 400,000 vehicles that utilize this interchange daily, as well as breathe new life into the business communities that interact with these commuters.
“It’s definitely a project of regional significance,” said state Sen. Brandon Beach (R-Alpharetta). “It’s the largest single project in Georgia history.”
This project is expected to reach completion in the year 2020. To learn more, click here.
