Please Note: Roswell’s Opportunity Zone incentive expired in December 2020. The city has applied for a new Opportunity Zone. We will provide additional information once it is available.
To qualify, a company must create at least two net new full-time jobs in one tax year and be located within the boundary of the Opportunity Zone.
The company is then eligible for the maximum state job tax credit of $3,500 per net new employee for five years starting the year of the hire.
There is no limit on the number or type of new jobs created through the program.
Companies must apply for the credit by the end of 2020; however, the five-year credit can extend past 2020.
Grow Your Workforce
More than 190 Roswell businesses have used this state incentive to grow their workforces, including divisions of GM, UPS, Delta Dental, McKesson, Yardi, Nolan Transportation Group, EndoChoice, Deliv, and Kloeckner Metals.
