Steve Stroud is the Executive Director of Roswell Inc, a 501c6 nonprofit that promotes economic development through a public-private partnership with the City of Roswell. Since the organization inception in 2012, Stroud has held this position and under his leadership, Roswell Inc has developed networking, educational and support programs for small businesses, marketed Roswell’s Opportunity Zone to increase the number of certifications, and worked one-on-one with business owners, entrepreneurs and state project managers to retain, expand and recruit businesses to Roswell.

Over the last 3 year’s Roswell Inc has worked on nearly 300 projects, creating or retaining more than 4,000 jobs and generating more than $2.25 million in one-time generated revenue and $1.95 million in cumulative annual revenue. Notable projects include Brixmor, Delta Dental, McKesson, and 3 new business-class hotels—Spring Hill Suites, Home2Suites and Element by Westin. Stroud and his team continue to position Roswell as one of the premier cities in the region for innovative, community-minded businesses and entrepreneurs.

Prior to Roswell Inc, Stroud owned and operated his own small business in Roswell, Stroud’s Printing & Design, for 30 years. An active member of the community, Stroud has been involved with civic and nonprofit organizations throughout North Fulton for more than 20 years, currently serving on the board of the Greater North Fulton Chamber, North Fulton Community Charities, Computer Museum of America and Synovus (Atlanta region). Since the onset of COVID-19, Stroud has also served on the Mayor’s Recovery Task Force in Roswell and the North Fulton Economic Recovery Task Force.

Stroud attended Georgia State University, with a focus in political science. A Roswell native, he remains residing in the city with his wife and daughters.

Ashley Allen has been with Roswell Inc since 2016 and currently serves as the organization’s Communications and Operations Manager. In her role, Ashley oversees the company’s day-to-day office operations and provides strategic oversight for the company’s long- and short-term goals. She also leads Roswell Inc’s communications and marketing efforts, including executive and brand communications, digital and social media communications, and brand and program marketing. 

With a background in graphic and web design, Ashley is responsible for the company’s website, email marketing, digital and print advertising, annual report design and event branding. Roswell Inc’s 2018 Annual Report (layout and design by Ashley) was awarded a Gold Hermes, National Bronze Anvil and the PRSA Georgia Phoenix Award. Additionally, Ashley manages Roswell Inc’s industry support events—Roswell Restaurant Week and Summer Sippin’. For these events, she oversees recruitment, restaurant communications, website management, social media and email marketing, and all design and advertising efforts.

Before joining the Roswell Inc team, Ashley worked as a freelance designer, with clients such as Prosper Insurance Group and Quirkie Kids. Her work with Quirkie Kids, a Los Angeles-based, gender-neutral kids clothing company, has been featured on UpWorthy, CNN and The Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family. 

Ashley graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a B.A. in Art Studio focusing on Graphic Design and a Minor in Computer-Mediated Communications. She lives in Kennesaw with her husband and three dogs, and when she’s not working, she enjoys gardening, hiking and crafting.

Kimberly Allred has been with Roswell Inc since 2018 and currently serves as the organization’s Business Relations & Strategic Partnerships Manager. She meets with businesses daily to better understand their needs and offer resources and solutions to help them thrive. From new companies in the early development stage to existing businesses looking to relocate or expand, she acts as a liaison to the City to provide assistance and support as businesses navigate the permitting and licensing process.

In her role, Kimberly also cultivates and manages Roswell Inc’s relationships with state and regional partners and helps to identify and develop new partnership opportunities to strengthen Roswell’s overall business environment. Additionally, she oversees the organization’s business ambassador and volunteer group, Roswell Community Connectors. 

Kimberly found her niche in economic development while working as both a retail recruitment coordinator and project manager with The Retail Coach, a national real estate advisory and recruitment firm. Prior to joining Roswell Inc, she also served as the operations director for a political consulting group and worked as an independent business and marketing consultant. 

She received an M.B.A. from The University of Mississippi as well as a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish. When not working, Kimberly can be found painting, running, and spending time with her husband at their home in Roswell.
