Steve Stroud is the Executive Director of Roswell Inc, a 501c6 nonprofit that promotes economic development through a public-private partnership with the City of Roswell. Since the organization’s inception in 2012, Stroud has held this position. Under his leadership, Roswell Inc has developed networking, educational and support programs for small businesses, and worked one-on-one with business owners, entrepreneurs and state project managers to retain, expand and recruit businesses to Roswell. Additionally,  in 2021, Roswell Inc became an accredited economic development organization (AEDO) through the International Economic Development Council.

Over the last 5 year’s Roswell Inc has worked on more than 550 recruitment, retention and expansion projects, creating or retaining more than 6,200 jobs. Notable projects include GM Innovation Center, GreyOrange, Southern Post mixed-use development, West Alley mixed-use development, Enterprise Super Center, Brixmor Property Group, PGA Superstore, Delta Dental, McKesson, SpringHill Suites and Home2 Suites. Stroud and his team continue to position Roswell as one of the premier cities in the region for innovative, community-minded businesses and entrepreneurs.

Prior to Roswell Inc, Stroud owned and operated his own small business in Roswell, Stroud’s Printing & Design, for 30 years. An active member of the community, Stroud has been involved with civic and nonprofit organizations throughout North Fulton for more than 20 years, currently serving on the board of the North Fulton Community Improvement District , Greater North Fulton Chamber, North Fulton Community Charities, Computer Museum of America and Synovus (Atlanta region). Stroud attended Georgia State University, with a focus in political science. A Roswell native, he remains residing in the city with his wife and daughters.

Ashley Allen has been with Roswell Inc since January 2016 and currently serves as the organization’s Director of Operations. In her role, Ashley oversees the company’s day-to-day office operations and provides strategic oversight for the company’s long- and short-term goals. She also leads Roswell Inc’s communications and marketing efforts, including executive and brand communications, digital and social media communications, and brand and program marketing. 

With a background in marketing & design, Ashley is responsible for the company’s website, email marketing, digital and print advertising, annual report design and event branding. Roswell Inc’s 2018 Annual Report (layout and design by Ashley) was awarded a Gold Hermes, National Bronze Anvil and the PRSA Georgia Phoenix Award. Additionally, Ashley manages Roswell Inc’s industry support events—Roswell Restaurant Week and Summer Sippin’. For these events, she oversees recruitment, restaurant communications, website management, and social media.

Before joining the Roswell Inc team, Ashley worked as a freelance designer, with clients such as Prosper Insurance Group and Quirkie Kids. Her work with Quirkie Kids, a Los Angeles-based, gender-neutral kids clothing company, has been featured on UpWorthy, CNN and The Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family. 

Ashley graduated from the University of Alabama in Huntsville with a B.A. in Art Studio focusing on Graphic Design and a Minor in Computer-Mediated Communications. She lives in Kennesaw with her husband and daughter, and when she’s not working, she enjoys gardening and sewing .

Morgan Pierce joined the Roswell Inc team in July 2022 and currently serves as the organization’s Business Partnerships Specialist. In this role, Morgan provides advisory services to our small business community, meeting with businesses regularly to better understand their needs and offer resources and solutions to help them thrive. Additionally, he assists with the coordination of Roswell Inc’s special events and programs—including State of the City, Roswell Economic Development Outlook, Roswell Inc’s Annual Golf Outing, virtual and in-person networking events and ribbon cutting ceremonies. 

Before joining Roswell Inc, Morgan was a commercial and business banker with U.S. Bank out of Kansas City, MO for close to 6 years. Working with and managing over a billion dollars worth of accounts for individual companies, Morgan took pride in business consulting and credit and debt management. He worked closely with businesses of all sizes throughout various phases of the business lifecycle from start up through growth and expansion. During Morgan’s time at U.S. Bank, he received my B.S. degree in Business Organizational Leadership from the University of Kansas. In 2018 & 2019, U.S. Bank recognized Morgan as a Top Business Banker in Revenue and Client Satisfaction in SE Kansas City District.

Morgan also served in the U.S. Navy from 2007 to 2014 as a Seabee, conducting civil engineering and demolition operations in over 20 countries, including war and peacetime theaters. From 2008 to 2010, he worked directly for George H.W. Bush and Barack Obama as their engineering and security liaison attached to Camp David at NSF (Naval Support Facility) in Thurmont, MD.
