Meet the couple behind it all: Patrick Ellrich & Lilian Garcia Patrick Ellrich and his fiancée, Lilian Garcia, are the heart behind Proper Hop Taphouse — a space built on intention, connection, and a shared love for bringing people together. Patrick, a former professional wrestler turned hospitality entrepreneur, founded Proper Hop as a love letter to craft beer and the community that surrounds it. From meticulously maintained draft systems to thoughtful pour technique, every detail is handled with care so each guest can enjoy their drink exactly as it’s meant to be. While beer is the focus, the bar also offers a curated selection of wine, whiskey, and house-made draft cocktails, created with the same attention and respect for the craft. The story of Proper Hop is also deeply personal. Last year, the taphouse itself played an unexpected role in Patrick and Lilian’s journey — becoming the place where their paths first crossed and where a chance conversation turned into a lasting partnership. Lilian, a legendary WWE ring announcer whose voice has echoed through some of the most iconic moments in sports entertainment, found in Patrick not only a shared love for wrestling, but a grounded, genuine connection rooted in authenticity and faith. Today, that same spirit lives throughout Proper Hop — from the classic, all-ages taphouse upstairs which also allows dogs, to the newly opened Lounge downstairs, a 21+ retreat designed for a more intimate, elevated experience. The Lounge invites guests to slow down, settle in, and enjoy thoughtfully crafted drinks in a Together, Patrick and Lilian are proud to celebrate this new chapter and continue building a place that honors craftsmanship, community, and the relationships that grow when people gather — one thoughtfully poured drink at a time. |
