The primary goal of the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) is “to promote business and employment opportunities in the City of Roswell’s central business district. These goals are facilitated by the pursuit and creation of various programs, both public and private, that encourage redevelopment and growth within the district.” Essentially, the DDA is capitalizing on Roswell’s current economic success by recreating and redeveloping many of Roswell’s dilapidated and unproductive areas. This will ensure that Roswell continues to thrive for generations, despite the economic ups and downs.


The mission of Roswell Next is to “To encourage local participation and open dialogue among young professionals, entrepreneurs and visionaries to influence the Social, Civic and Economic growth of Roswell by delivering fresh ideas and initiatives that enhance the value of our city.” This non-profit organization has a vision far beyond networking. The goal is to engage young professionals in the community on every level and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. Not limited to young professionals exclusively, Roswell Next includes well established professionals and community activists to mentor and support their younger counterparts.


The Roswell Arts Fund is an independent 501c3 nonprofit corporation with a strong collaborative relationship with the City of Roswell. The Roswell Arts Fund is a powerful voice and advocate for the arts community, strengthening the scope, quality and diversity of the arts and striving to fully integrate the arts into the social and economic fabric that is uniquely Roswell.


The Roswell Historic Preservation Commission was tasked by the City to protect and preserve the historic elements and structures of the community. Furthermore, they must approve all new structures built within the Historic District to ensure that the cultural atmosphere remains consistent.


Recreation Commission, under guidance of the Recreation & Parks Department, is to provide, establish, maintain and conduct a city-wide public recreation program.
