Our mission is simple—to build business in Roswell.
As the economic and business development organization for the City of Roswell, we serve as a catalyst for a sustainable, innovative, and vibrant local business community. Our vision is for Roswell to be the best city in the region for innovative, community-minded businesses and entrepreneurs. As a 501(c)6 nonprofit, we have worked with the City of Roswell through a public-private partnership since 2012.
For small businesses and Fortune 500 corporations alike, we support business success within the city through our four core service areas:
Business Attraction and Recruitment
Our team actively partners with local, state and regional organizations and agencies to bring new businesses to Roswell that will enhance our economy and community culture.
Business Retention and Expansion
As businesses evolve, our team works with companies to provide connections, resources, location analysis, and market insight to help them adapt and grow as their business models change.
Industry Support
We create and deliver innovative programming to support the growth and sustainability of our key industries, from hospitality and professional services to technology and healthcare.
Business Development
From hosting networking events to planning ribbon cuttings to helping businesses navigate city hall to supporting entrepreneurs and startups, we provide a variety of services to companies both large and small to help them succeed.
We believe that working in all four of these areas is essential to building a strong, vibrant, and sustainable economy—and this holistic view of economic development is at the heart of our organization. Whether your organization is preparing to launch, expand, or relocate, Roswell Inc opens the door for you.
From Small Beginnings …
In 2008, a small group of local entrepreneurs launched a program in partnership with the City of Roswell and the city’s nonprofit tourism organization, Visit Roswell, to support local businesses during the recession. The program’s citywide business marketing efforts were successful.
To build upon the program, our organization—originally called the Roswell Business Alliance— was created in 2012 to continue the work of growing the local business community. We became a separate entity from Visit Roswell, but continued to report to the same board of directors, Roswell Economic Development and Tourism, Inc.
The same year, the City of Roswell finished its first Strategic Economic Development Plan (SEDP), which included a recommendation to pursue economic development through a public-private partnership with an outside nonprofit. City leaders approached our organization about taking the lead on economic development for Roswell and becoming responsible for the initiatives outlined in the SEDP.
Of course, we eagerly agreed. Having worked that same year with the State Department of Economic Development to help recruit the GM Innovation Center to Roswell, our team was excited to continue leading economic development efforts for the city.
In 2014, to reflect our new mission and scope of work, we rebranded to Roswell Inc. Since then, we have continued developing our signature networking events and professional development programs, while also expanding our economic and business development efforts.
