Roswell Economic Development and Tourism, Inc.—the board of directors that oversees our organization as well as destination marketing organization Visit Roswell—has announced that Jon-Paul Croom, president of Wellstar North Fulton Hospital, will take on the role of board president, after four years on the board. Former Board President Kenneth Davis, having served in this role for the past ten years, will now transition to the role of board chairman.
Additionally, REDT, Inc. is saying goodbye to retiring Board Chairman Don Howard, who is stepping down after more than twenty-five years. The board welcomes to its executive committee current board member Misty Fernandez, area manager at Georgia Power, as well as nine new board members that are either active in the Roswell business community or tourism industry. New positions and members took effect on July 1, 2021, each serving a three-year term.
“After nearly fifteen years of serving on the board and ten years serving as board president, I’m proud to transition into the role of chairman. Our organization will be in great hands under the leadership of Jon-Paul Croom,” said Board Chairman Kenneth Davis.
“During the past few years, it has been an honor to serve on the board and to work with an outstanding team of business leaders in our community. I would like to thank Ken Davis for his superb leadership as president of our organization and welcome his wisdom and guidance as I assume the role this year,” said Board President Jon-Paul Croom. “I would also like to recognize our nine new members, all of which are exceptional industry leaders and professionals that will further our economic development and tourism initiatives in the City of Roswell.”
