The future of Roswell was on full display April 17th at the Mimms Museum for Insight Roswell 2026 – Roswell Inc’s annual economic development luncheon. Proudly presented by Wellstar and Vestis, the 14th annual flagship event brought together over 450 of the city’s brightest minds, influential business leaders, innovators, and community pillars. The afternoon was more than just a luncheon; it was a powerful testament to the collaborative spirit and economic momentum that have made Roswell a premier destination for business in Georgia.
The day began with a warm welcome from Roswell Inc’s Board President Dave Schmit, followed by remarks from Insight’s presenting sponsors, Wellstar and Vestis, before transitioning into the 2026 Economic Development Awards. John Asbell, recipient of the 2026 Above & Beyond Award, was recognized for a legacy defined by character, commitment, and consistency. With a career at Georgia Power spanning three decades and a history of extensive board service across the state, his influence is felt far beyond his professional accolades. Nancy Tolbert-Yilmaz, recipient of the 2026 Impact Award, was honored for her lifelong dedication to the arts and her profound, generational influence of fostering creativity and confidence in generations of Roswell dancers.
Following the awards, Steve Stroud, President & CEO of Roswell Inc, and Andy Williams, President & CEO of Visit Roswell, delivered a detailed presentation on the city’s economic performance and tourism growth. This update combined a retrospective of 2025’s record-breaking stats and numbers with a preview of what is to come for the Roswell community. The update for Roswell’s future featured a look at exciting projects:
- Atlanta Golf and Social and Industrious both coming to Southern Post,
- Hillrose Market Mixed-use development
- The Chambray
- GA-400 Express Lanes Project
- and finally an exclusive first look at Roswell Inc’s new interactive business guide, the Roswell Atlas.
Finally, the Insight program concluded with remarks from Mayor Mary Robichaux, who shared her background and a forward-looking vision for the city. Her address emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between city leadership and the business community to ensure Roswell’s long-term success and quality of life.
