(Atlanta, GA – October, 2023) – The RADCO Companies (RADCO), one of the nation’s leading opportunistic real estate developers, has successfully executed comprehensive renovations at two hotels in the firm’s growing hospitality portfolio, the DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta-Alpharetta and DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta-Roswell.
RADCO purchased both hotels in 2021 as part of the relaunch of the firm’s hospitality division and embarked on a multi-million dollar capital improvement plan implementing exterior and interior enhancements designed to deliver an elevated guest experience.
“The purpose of our modernization and capital improvement program was centered around creating a superior hospitality experience,” said Norman Radow, CEO of The RADCO Companies. “The hospitality market in Atlanta is very strong and we are proud to showcase the new look and feel of both hotels for events and guests.”
Renovations at the two hotels include the following:
The four-month renovation project at the DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta-Alpharetta delivers a boutique feel with a contemporary design to the 80-room property. The guest rooms are beautifully furnished with modern fixtures, finishes, and textiles. Hotel corridors and elevator landings are modernized, and the property exterior is completely refreshed.
The well-located hospitality asset is a mile from US-19 with easy access to numerous Alpharetta entertainment and dining options and offers a free weekday shuttle. Popular attractions such as The Avalon and the Ameris Bank Amphitheatre are nearby. The hotel is well situated for the many corporate headquarters in the area including AT&T, ADP, Version and McKesson Technology Solutions.
The renovations at the 174-room DoubleTree by Hilton Atlanta-Roswell guest rooms include contemporary furnishings, carpeting, wall coverings, and lighting creating a modern inviting feel. Reimagined bathrooms offer upgraded showers, fixtures, lighting and mirrors. The hotel showcases an elegantly modernized lobby, restaurant and lounge, and event spaces. The new fitness center includes all the equipment needed for a full workout while away from home.
The Doubletree by Hilton Roswell-Atlanta offers extensive meeting space with catering capabilities making it an ideal location for conferences, business events or personal celebrations.
Roswell is known for its many significant historic industries which are represented in the naming convention of each floor including textile mills, shoe factories, blacksmiths, machine shops, and sawmills. These historic themes are conveyed through the artwork and signage on each landing. The property is situated off GA 400 less than three miles from historic downtown Roswell. Area attractions, dining, entertainment and office parks are accessible by the hotel’s free shuttle. Major employers in Roswell include Wells Fargo, AT&T, UnitedHealth Group, Comcast, and Honeywell.
RADCO has a three-decade history of acquiring and investing in opportunistic real estate across all asset classes. The firm’s strategy targets underperforming assets that offer immediate mark-to-market opportunities, as well as projects requiring capital infusion to add value. RADCO’s first venture into the hospitality sector was in 1994 with the redevelopment of a distressed Atlanta hotel, office and condominium tower that later became the Four Seasons Hotel.
