It’s been a full three months of Summer Sippin’ in Roswell and we’re excited to announce the winners of the 2021 “Best Sip in Roswell.” The winner in the alcoholic category is Hugo’s Oyster Bar’s “Spiced Blackberry Julep” and the winner in the non-alcoholic category is Crazy Love Coffeehouse’s “Strawberry Fields Latte.”
This year’s event stretched from June 1 through August 31 and is the longest time frame a Summer Sippin’ promotion has taken place. There were 50 participating locations with restaurants, cafes, and breweries all creating their own specialty drink to be added to their menu this summer. Patrons rated each sip they tried on SummerSippin.com or on the Summer Sippin’ app. The ratings were tallied at the end of the summer and the winners chosen.
“2021 was a great year to celebrate a full summer of Summer Sippin’,” said Andy Williams, Executive Director of Visit Roswell. “As restrictions lessened and more restaurants opened up, patrons could go in have a good time and support Roswell businesses. Congratulations to the Top Sip winners. We truly appreciate the creativity and commitment from each participating location this year.”
“An important part of Roswell’s economy, the hospitality industry is the city’s fourth largest sector by number of jobs, and restaurants alone generate more than $200-million in sales annually,” said Steve Stroud, Executive Director of Roswell Inc. “That is why we put this event on each year! Summer Sippin’ helps to support our vibrant and diverse food and beverage industry by attracting consumers from throughout the region and boosting sales. To further our support efforts this year, we were elated that through strong sponsor support of this event, we were able to offer it at no cost to the participating restaurants.”
