Roswell’s dining scene is shining once again. Table & Main, a downtown staple known for its “Simple, Seasonal, Southern” comfort food, has been awarded the prestigious Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction for the second consecutive year — making it the only Roswell restaurant to earn the honor.

Executive Chef Woolery “Woody” Back accepted the award at Michelin’s Southeast gala in Greenville, South Carolina, where just 50 restaurants across the region were recognized for delivering exceptional food at a great value.

A Neighborhood Classic with a National Reputation

Since opening in 2011, Table & Main has built its reputation on hospitality, heart, and heritage. Founder Ryan Pernice envisioned a “neighborhood clubhouse” — a place where locals could gather over thoughtfully prepared Southern dishes and a genuine sense of community.

The restaurant’s famous fried chicken has become a Roswell icon, but it’s the consistency, care, and connection to local producers that truly set it apart. Executive Chef Woody Back, who first joined the team in 2013 and became Executive Chef in 2015, keeps the menu fresh by collaborating with local farmers and artisans — relationships he’s cultivated since his days leading Roswell’s Farmers Market.

Back’s approach brings a farm-to-fork authenticity to every plate, while his team — including Sous Chef Zack BlankenbakerGeneral Manager Matthew Forsee, and Dining Room Manager Macs Chiles — keeps the dining room warm, welcoming, and unmistakably Roswell.

Local Roots, Lasting Impact

Beyond Table & Main, Ryan and his brother Daniel Pernice have expanded Roswell’s culinary footprint with Osteria Mattone, a beloved Italian restaurant that’s earned multiple Wine Spectator Awards of Excellence. Both are proud Roswell High School graduates, and their commitment to investing in the community they grew up in continues to elevate Roswell’s reputation as a dining destination.

Table & Main has also been featured in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s “Top 50 Atlanta Restaurants”Condé Nast Traveler’s “21 Best Atlanta Restaurants”, and countless other “Best Of” lists — helping put Roswell’s restaurant scene on the regional map.

A Win for Roswell’s Culinary Community

The Michelin Bib Gourmand distinction celebrates approachable, high-quality cooking that leaves guests feeling they’ve eaten exceptionally well — at a reasonable price. Named after the Michelin Man “Bibendum,” the award is a symbol of craftsmanship, consistency, and care.

For Roswell, this recognition is more than just a win for one restaurant — it’s a reflection of the city’s thriving food culture and the entrepreneurs, chefs, and hospitality professionals who continue to invest here. From fine dining to food trucks, Roswell’s culinary community has become a driving force behind local tourism, job creation, and the city’s growing reputation as a destination for both visitors and residents alike.
